At Teczone, sustainability forms part of the approach through which we develop our industrial activities and manage our relationship with the surrounding environment. This approach integrates aspects related to environmental management, people’s wellbeing and occupational health and safety.

These considerations are reflected in the application of measures aimed at reducing environmental impact, promoting efficient resource use, preventing occupational risks and implementing continuous improvement practices, with the involvement of different teams across the organisation.

Our participation in the Planet Passionate programme of the Kingspan Group forms part of this approach and provides a structured framework for initiatives related to climate change mitigation, resource circularity and the protection of ecosystems. Actions undertaken include on‑site renewable energy generation through solar installations, the progressive reduction in the use of fossil fuels, waste management in accordance with defined criteria, optimisation of water consumption and collaboration with local social and environmental projects.

These actions form part of Teczone’s management framework and are integrated into the development of construction solutions, taking into account environmental and social responsibility criteria.

The Planet Passionate Communities Fund is a global initiative of the Kingspan Group aimed at supporting social and environmental projects at a local level. At Teczone, this initiative has been implemented since 2022 through various activities carried out in Burgos, related to environmental education, volunteering and collaboration with local social organisations.

Funding allocation criterio

The Planet Passionate Community Fund is oriented towards supporting local communities connected to the Group’s production sites. For this purpose, a set of guidelines and criteria has been defined, which applicant projects must meet in order to be eligible for funding.

Any individual or organisation may submit an application, provided that the project is aligned with at least one of the following areas:

• – Support for the conservation, protection or improvement of the physical and natural environment.
• – Contribution to the health and wellbeing of local communities through leisure activities.
• – Promotion of a safe and sustainable built environment.
• – Support for education and the development of skills among young people.
• – Support for local charities or charitable events related to any of the above areas.
