At Teczone, we understand that our commitment to sustainability goes beyond energy efficiency or responsible architectural design. Being part of Kingspan drives us to look beyond our industrial activity and actively engage in initiatives that improve people’s lives and protect the environment. Here we share the actions carried out throughout 2024 as part of our Planet Passionate Communities Fund, a global corporate social responsibility initiative implemented across all Kingspan Group companies. This fund aims to support local organizations whose actions are focused on improving community well-being and preserving the natural environment..
In 2024, we had the privilege of collaborating with four organizations that play a key role in Burgos and its surrounding areas:
1. Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC)
The AECC has been working for decades on prevention, patient support, and cancer research. In June, Teczone supported the organization of the Burgos Popular March Against Cancer, a solidarity event that brings together hundreds of participants each year. Our collaboration helped strengthen the event’s logistics and raised awareness for a cause that touches us all.
2. Oxygene Foundation
This non-profit organization has worked for over 20 years to protect the environment, promote scientific outreach, and support environmental education. In 2024, we collaborated on local activities focused on natural conservation and raising public awareness of today’s ecological challenges. Their mission aligns perfectly with the sustainability values we uphold at Teczone.
3. Green UBU – University of Burgos
The sustainability department at the University of Burgos promotes projects and research aimed at solving today’s environmental challenges. This year, we actively participated in the Kingspan-Teczone Sustainability Awards, recognizing the best undergraduate and master’s final projects from the 2022–2023 academic year. This initiative fosters innovation, young talent, and academic commitment to sustainable development.
4. Burgos Blood Donor Brotherhood
This organization promotes altruistic blood donation and citizen solidarity. In 2024, we co-organized a blood donation day at our facilities, in which our employees participated voluntarily. The initiative was a success and reflected the collaborative spirit we aim to cultivate within our company.
All these actions demonstrate the positive impact we can achieve when we join forces with those working for a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable society. At Teczone, we will continue strengthening this commitment with new collaborations, convinced that true innovation also means caring for people and the planet.
